Jacqui Ewart is Associate Professor of Journalism and Media Studies at Griffith University, Australia, and formerly worked as a journalist and media manager. John Martinkus is Lecturer in Journalism, Media and Communications at the University of Tasmania, Australia, and has two decades of experience as a journalist and foreign correspondent in Afghanistan, East Timor, Indonesia and Iraq.
